Position: Information Systems Specialist
Division: Technology Services
Location: EEC Environmental Southern California Office (Orange, CA)

EEC Environmental (EEC) is looking to add talent to its growing Technology Services group. The ideal candidate would have a balanced mix of technical, project management, and people skills. You may or may not be a PMP, but you should be able to manage risk and make intelligent trade-offs between scope, schedule, and budget. The position also requires flexibility to manage a variety of technology-related responsibilities, including application development, database system administration, and administration of systems and accounts for internal services.

Job Requirements

You should be proficient at many of the skills and technologies listed below, but most importantly, be excited to learn the rest and more.

  • 5 or more years in IT, GIS, or other data management systems
  • Excellent professional communication and teamwork skills
  • Self-driven with good time management skills
  • Can design and administer relational databases
  • Can architect IT systems
  • Has scripting and/or programming experience
  • Familiar with virtual and cloud-based environments like AWS and GCP
  • Familiar with the ArcGIS platform

It’d be excellent if you already have experience with:

  • Sales and marketing
  • Local government
  • Web development
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  • AutoCAD

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Designing, administering, and scripting Microsoft Access and SQL Server databases
  • Managing web, database, and GIS servers and applications
  • Managing web service accounts such as Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform
  • Consult with clients to architect IT and data management solutions
  • Lead deployments of off-the-shelf GIS-centric software
  • Lead development of custom applications based on client requirements
  • Develop scripts and geoprocessing tools for data analysis and modeling
  • Manage projects/budgets/staff
  • Perform data analysis (statistical and exploratory)
  • Develop scopes of work and proposals for new projects
  • Develop new business through marketing and sales
