Assessment/Audit of Safety Program Compliance

- Provided a gap analysis of safety management system based on accepted safety management practices. Following the inspection, EEC prepared a written report on its findings and recommendations for improvement.
In March 2017, EEC Environmental (EEC) conducted a safety compliance assessment of the client’s safety standards and OSHA regulations with an emphasis on Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP), HAZCOM and Hazardous Chemical Management programs. The assessment included an on-site physical inspection, observations, records review and employee interviews.
The employee interviews were designed to determine the level of understanding and employee involvement with safety programs. In addition to the safety compliance assessment, EEC conducted an assessment of all safety management system elements including management leadership, employee involvement, worksite analysis, hazard prevention and control, training and communication. The result of the assessment was the improvement of the client’s safety management system and increased future compliance.
In addition to the assessment, EEC provided support and guidance in developing a formal response to OSHA, including the preparation for the informal conference and development of the corrective action plan based on results of the OSHA inspection and pending citation.
