Military Installation / Airfield
North Central Alaska
EEC was contracted to perform a Phase I ESA at a location scheduled for site redevelopment on a military installation in Alaska. Due diligence efforts identified several Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) including the possible presence of PFAS from historical onsite use and documented subsurface impacts on-base. To assess these possible concerns, EEC performed a robust soil sampling program consistent with EEC’s internal PFAS sampling Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). All necessary precautions and Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) measures were properly implemented, which resulted in the collection of a legally defensible data set that met the requirements of the project.
