NPDES Permit Compliance

NPDES Permit Compliance

Project Highlights
  • Performed National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) compliance sampling and reporting at 8 locations in the Greater Los Angeles Area
  • Manage Regularly interaction with the Regional Water Quality Control Boards (RWQCB) and LA Watermaster

A Los Angeles based property management company, which owns more than 50 facilities in California and Hawaii and has properties that range from residential apartment complexes to high-rise office buildings retained EEC Environmental (EEC) for an NPDES permit compliance project.

Many of these properties have multi-story subsurface parking garages that are founded below the local groundwater table elevation. To maintenance, the structural integrity, continuous groundwater extraction (de-watering) is required. All extracted groundwater is discharged under NPDES permits to the local storm drain collection system. EEC provides environmental compliance support, sampling and reporting services at the following locations. Provided services also include monthly sampling, system operation and maintenance, data analysis, reporting, and regulatory interaction and negotiations.

EEC is a national expert on all issues related to NPDES permit compliance. EEC helps our clients with the permitting process, achieving full compliance with their permit, and negotiating reasonable permit limits and monitoring requirements. EEC’s clients include publically owned treatment works (POTWs), industrial dischargers, developers, and remediation sites. EEC’s experts include former EPA and state regulators with extensive experience addressing NPDES issues.
